He said that the State Government would not tolerate this at any cost and that is why, a Regulatory Authority in this regard is in offing and would start functioning soon,” he said while speaking to the media on the sidelines of a function organised on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar.

Sukhbir also said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT), formed to nab the killers of Mata Chand Kaur wife of Namdhari Sect’s former head Satguru Jagjit Singh, has got a breakthrough and the killers would be arrested soon.

“A SIT, comprising ludhiana Police Commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh as chairman, Khanna SSP Satinder Singh and AIG (Crime) Ravcharan Singh Brar both as members, has already been formed. It has got breakthrough into the case and the killers would be behind bars soon,” he said.

“We would be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard very soon and would also take up this matter through diplomatic channels. If required, we would also approach the Supreme Court of India regarding this matter,” he said.

Taking an aim at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sukhbir said that Kejriwal’s anti-Punjab stand has been exposed over the SYl issue.
