Haryana has recorded a slight increase in registration of properties after demonetisation of old notes of higher denominations on November 8.

Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu on Monday said that this difference in number of registries has been revealed after comparison of the data between November 1 to 8 and after announcement of demonisation, from November 9 to 21.

Around 8,648 properties were registered in various districts in the State from November 1 to 8 as against registration of 8,995 properties from November 9 to 21, said the Minister.

He said that a maximum of 1,032 registries were made in district Gurugram from November 9 to 21 as compared to 952 from November 1 to 8. Similarly, in Faridabad 676 registries were recorded after demonetisation upto November 21 whereas 537 properties were registered between November 1 and 8.

In district Nuh, 222 registries were recorded after demonetisation as compared to 150 before demonetisation of old currency notes.

Capt Abhimanyu said that demonetisation had no adverse impact on the registration of properties in the State.

The Finance Minister also described the demonetisation as a significant decision in the interest of the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that it would have a positive impact on the country’s future.

This decision is against black money, terrorism, corruption and Maoism, he said.

Capt Abhimanyu said that the BJP-led State Government, right from the beginning, is also checking corruption by framing policies which resulted in fruitful results. A number of services have been made online by the State Government which resulted in checking corruption and added to the facilities to the common people, he said.

The demonetisation of old notes of higher denomination would have a positive impact on State revenue. People of the State and the country have welcomed the Central Government’s decision with open heart, claimed the Finance Minister.

While urging the people to support the Government’s decision of demonetisation, the Minister added that people should try to make all transactions cashless as such a  practice would  check black money.
