Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Friday blessed INlD candidate and son of jailed party leader Ajay Chautala, Dushyant Chautala for victory from Hisar lok Sabha constituency. Praising the grandson of INlD chief Om Prakash Chautala, Baba announced his full support for the INlD candidate.
Interestingly, INlD is contesting against the BJP in Haryana and the Baba is supporting Narendra Modi at the national level.Ramdev on Thursday said, “Dushyant Chautala is a young and energetic leader and if he wins the election, he will support Narendra Modi BJP’s prime ministerial candidate of BJP.” At a function organised in Hisar, Ramdev’s Bharat Swabhiman Trust also declared their support for Dushyant in his campaigning.
Ramdev’s commitment to BJP, and its prime ministerial candidate Modi for whom he has been campaigning across the country along with his trust members for long time now, has raised few eyebrows after he came in the open to support INlD in Haryana changing political equations, as the party was opposed to BJP and is contesting lok Sabha elections against it.
Even Sukhbir Singh Badal, president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), which is an ally of BJP in Punjab and part of NDA at the national level, has been campaigning for INlD candidates in Haryana openly.
Prakash Singh Badal had earlier tried for a pre poll alliance between BJP and INlD, but it couldn’t materialise due to BJP’s proximity with HJC. However, few senior BJP leaders were also reluctant over this alliance. But as the elections are nearing the political equations are changing.
