Rains lashed various parts of Punjab and Haryana, giving respite to people from hot weather conditions on Wednesday.Areas which witnessed rain were Chandigarh (1.4mm), Ambala (0.5 mm), Bhiwani (2.4 mm), Hisar (1 mm), Karnal (0.2 mm), Narnaul (20 mm) and Patiala (26 mm), according to the Met Department. After rains, Chandigarh recorded maximum of 34.1 degree Celsius, one degree below normal.
