During the meeting between Capt Amarinder Singh and Rahul Gandhi on late Monday evening at New Delhi, the hot topic of the “STF report” was discussed in detail.

The Congress leaders had asked why the government was keeping mum despite having “report” against the SAD leader Bikram Majithia for his alleged involvement in the drugs case.
At one hand, the Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu had gone public with the report by the Special Task Force on Drugs demanding arrest of SAD leader Bikram Majithia as it provides “enough evidence” against him, Capt Amarinder on the other had brushed aside the matter saying that it was under investigation.
Punjab Government had formed a STF to probe into the drug trade. In its preliminary ‘sealed’ report, submitted in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the STF has recommended further investigations into the alleged involvement of former revenue minister Bikram Majithia in drug trade.
