Punjab Government on Monday transfers seven IAS officers, besides designating two senior IAS officers of 1983 batch — Suresh Kumar and Jagpal Singh Sandhu — as Additional Chief Secretary of the State.
Suresh Kumar and Jagpal Singh Sandhu, who were already working in the pay scale of Chief Secretary, have been designated as Additional Chief Secretaries.
Besides, transfer and posting orders of seven IAS officers including two Deputy Commissioners (DC) of the state have been issued.
Principal Secretary labour and Wildlife Vishwajeet Khanna has been posted as Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development, while holding the additional charge of Principal Secretary labour and Wildlife, till further orders.
Transport secretary, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB) managing director, and TRANSCO MD Anurag Aggarwal will now look after the charge of PWD Secretary besides the additional charge of Transport Secretary and PIDB MD.
A Venuprasad, currently holding the post of Housing and Urban Development Secretary, has been posted as Rural Development and Panchayat Secretary.
Punjab State Cooperative Bank MD Kamaldeep Singh Sangha has been posted as Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner, while the State Transport director Bhupinder Singh has been posted as Mansa Deputy Commissioner.
After Bhupinder Singh’s transfer, Manpreet Singh Chatwal has been given the charge of State Transport director.
Dhar Kalam sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) B Srinivasan has been posted as Additional Excise and Taxation Commissioner.
Spokesperson said that the posting orders of IAS officers Mandeep Singh, Parveen Thind and Arun Sekhri would be issued later.
The additional charge of TRANSCO MD has been given to Power Secretary Anirudh Tiwari and that of Dhar Kalan SDM to Pathankot SDM.
