Punjab Education Department has launched a special drive to ensure that any of its employees, suffering from hazardous diseases, or is differently abled, having children who are differently abled, widow, victim of recent family tragedy, among other such things, gets justice during general transfers.
The state Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema said that for this, concerned employee will simply have to register his name, reference number online on the department’s website — www.ssapunjab.org — along with the detail of adverse circumstance being faced by the employees.
The department will itself contact the employee and ensure that justice is done with him well in time, said Cheema.
He said that every effort has been made to see that all employees, facing difficult circumstances, get relief during general transfers.
“But due to volumes of work and limited time spam, the chance of some of them being overlooked can't be ruled out.
SO, realising this difficulty, a considered view was taken by the department that the information of all such cases may be collected online,” he said.
Cheema clarified that no fresh application will be entertained this time and the application which has already been rejected due to vacancy or other reason may not use this facility.
This is only limited to employees with special and difficult circumstances, he added.
For the same, the employees have to fill a Performa giving details of their name along with place of current posting, demand posting, reason for special chance, and contact number.
