In an apparent attempt to woo the Government employees, who have been up in arms against the SAD-BJP led Punjab Government, the State Government has sought the Election Commission’s approval to release their pending instalments of the dearness allowance.
The Government has written to the State Chief Electoral Office seeking permission for release of pending DA instalment to its employees.Confirming the same, the State Chief Electoral Officer VK Singh said that the State Government has sought our permission, but the issue was under consideration of the Commission. He said that the matter would be referred to Central Election Panel for necessary approval.
