The result of Punjab pre-medical entrance test (PMET) was declared by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) on Wednesday. Faridkot’s lovish Gupta topped the exam that was held on June 11 featuring nearly 14,700 candidates across the state.

Gupta secured 100 percentile. Arvind Gulati of Talwandi Bhai in Ferozepur and Sanil Garg from Patiala secured the second and third rank respectively.

The results, which were delayed by a week, have been calculated and compiled by experts at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

Results were delayed after the BFUHS received complaints regarding 110 of 400 questions in the test.

The entrance test, conducted in two shifts, had nearly 7,300 aspiring doctors in the first group and 7,400 in the next.

The BFUHS vice-chancellor Dr Raj Bahadur said that the two sets of questions papers were from the same examiner to keep the level of difficulty uniform.
