Punjab Ministers allotted districts to oversee development, welfare works

To ensure effective monitoring of the pro-people welfare schemes and ongoing development works in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday allotted various districts to all the 14 Cabinet Ministers.

These Ministers will also ensure prompt redressal of the people’s grievances, along with giving impetus to development in these districts.

Interestingly, none of the 14 Ministers have been allotted his home district, and have been given the charge of other districts. Now, the Ministers will have to regularly visit these districts and listen to the people’s problems and grievances. Apart from this, the progress of development works will also have to be monitored by meeting the officers.

“These Ministers will be overseeing the development of these districts besides ensuring that benefits of the people-centric and growth-oriented government schemes are percolated to the people,” said Mann, adding that AAP Government is committed for well being of the people and progress of the state and no stone is being left unturned for it.
