Punjab Government on Tuesday regularized the services of 3542 Safai Sewaks or Sewermen working for the past several years in Ludhiana Municipal Corporation. The state’s Local Bodies Minister Inderbir Singh Nijjar, handing over the appointment letters to around 150 of these Safai Sewaks or Sewermen, said that in the coming days, all appointment letters would be distributed in a phased manner in the city.
