Punjab Government on Friday launched a first-of-its-kind mobile application ‘iRevenue’ — designed specially to ensure more transparency in the working of State Revenue Department.
The mobile phone application, launched by the state Revenue and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, will provide details such as information regarding the Revenue department, collector rates, stamp duty, Right to Service Act, and M-Fard.
“In this age of e-governance, this mobile phone application would go a long way in delivering services to the public in a hassle free, fair and transparent manner,” said Majthia.
He said that by using this mobile app, one can get details of collector rate of one's respective area and also calculate the total fee to be paid using a “calculator”, which has been specially incorporated in the app. This app has the collector rates, that of agricultural, commercial, residential and industrial, of ludhiana district, he added.
Majithia said that soon, the app would be extended to the entire state.
