Punjab Education Department has promoted 310 school lecturers from all over the State Government schools. Soon, they would be given appointment letter to join as principal (PES cadre).
Confirming about issuing appointment letters to all the 310 lecturers, the state Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary said that all such lecturers of different subjects from all over the Punjab have been promoted.
Chaudhary said that with the promotion as Principal, 310 Government Higher Secondary schools will get new principals and Government would issue them orders in the next few days or may be in couple of days.
“Orders were issued on November 27 and immediately after that, they were asked to come to Chandigarh for station selection as per their choice on the basis of seniority or merit on December 1 and 2,” she added. The Government has given all the lecturers an option to choose station as per their own choice to maintain transparency in the Government working system.
She made it clear that after assuming her office, she has issued instructions to the Education Department that there should not be any pendency and all pending files should be reviewed after every three months as no employee would suffer due to pendency or clearance of file related to their service matter or any grievances.
“The names of 310 lecturers were cleared in the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting and immediately after that, all the pending process was also cleared within few days so that the lecturers could join at the earliest on new positions,” she said.
The Minister added that the Government would never delay the promotion of any employee, and for that, it was decided that DPC would be conducted twice a year in order to clear the pending promotions.
She said that the Government is serious to bring adequate improvement in all the Punjab Government schools and thus, each employee would get promotions at the right time without any delay.
