Punjab Government on Wednesday constituted the state level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SlSMC) to provide housing to every citizen under ‘Housing for All’ policy.
In pursuance to the provision made under ‘Housing for All’ Policy for the state of Punjab (Urban), Punjab Government has constituted a state level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SlSMC) under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary whereas Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, would be the vice chairman, said an official spokesperson.
He said that other members of the committee would be Principal Secretary Finance, Secretary local Government, Secretary Revenue, Secretary Science, Technology and Environment, State level Bankers’ Committee Convener, and State Nodal Officer (Chief Administrator, PUDA).
The SlSMC chairman shall have the authority to co-opt any other member or invite special invitees to the meeting of the SlSMC as and when need arises, he said.
