/Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Wednesday revealed the newly-designed uniforms for the students of Schools of Eminence (SoEs). Bains also announced that the students of these schools will get a Rs 4,000 grant every year from the State Government to buy these uniforms.

Notably, in other government schools of Punjab, there is no single pattern or design for uniforms which is followed across the State and each school has its own uniform.

Schools of Eminence are specialized schools started by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government in Punjab for students of Classes IX to XII. As of now, 117 ‘Schools of Eminence’ have been set up in 23 districts of the State to provide quality education to children.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had stated that these schools are focusing on grooming the students for professional and competitive fields, including engineering, law, commerce, UPSC and NDA.
