Punjab Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema on Tuesday launched toll-free number — 1800-1372215 — for time-bound redressal of complaints.
A Complaint and Grievance Cell has also been made operational in the office of Director General School Education (DGSE) wherein public can lodge their complaints or grievances or give suggestions on this toll free number.
The move, aimed at ensuring accountability of staff towards public and ensuring transparency in grievances redressal system, came after the Education Minister made an official statement in his first meeting with the officials of the Education Department a month ago.
