The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Wednesday the so called “Punjab Dialogue” exercise by Aam Aadmi Party was meant to befool the people of th state when it had failed to continue a similar dialogue initiated by it before the Delhi polls and had even put a stop to interactions with the public post government formation.
In a statement here, SAD general secretary Prem Singh Chandumajra said it seemed the AAP, which was controlled by remote control from Delhi, did not know anything about the problems of the people of Punjab as they did not have any dialogue with them. “If the party knew about the problems of Punjabis it would not need to hold any such exercise which was being conducted with an eye on the polls only”, the Akali MP said.
Chandumajra alleged that AAP had earlier also tried to copy the Sangat Darshan programmes of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal who believed in “direct dialogue” with the people. “Unfortunately this initiative fizzled away within days because AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal was never serious about the exercise or the necessity to have any dialogue with the people due to his dictatorial attitude," he said in the statement.
