Punjab DGP asks IGPs and SSPs to remain vigilant

Published on:

Continuing to be on high alert, Punjab police chief Dinkar Gupta on Thursday directed all the Inspector-Generals of Police (IGPs) and the Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to remain vigilant round the clock to disrupt any terror modules that could be lying inactive in the State.

The state Director General of Police (DGP), in a message to all the IGs and SSPs, has issued directions to maintain high visibility of the forces and get down to high impact policing over the next few days.

Already, the State Government has put the District Administrations of all the six bordering areas on a high alert in view of the escalated tension between India and Pakistan following air strikes.
