Punjab CM slams BSP leadership

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday said that BSP leadership has backstabbed the Schedule caste brethren by selling the party to Shiromani Akali Dal.

Addressing the gathering during state level function to mark development of the district here at Partapura grain market, the Chief Minister said that BSP no longer represents ideology of Babu Kanshi Ram, which aimed at empowering the SC brethren. He said that BSP has sold 15 of the total 20 seats allotted to them to Akali Dal.  Channi said that the BSP leadership has made itself a slave of Akali Dal.

Training guns against AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister dared him to explain why Punjabis should believe him when his own flock doesn’t have faith in him. He said that three out of four AAP MPs elected in 2014 have left the party fold and even 11 out of 20 MLAs elected in 2017 have left AAP.  Channi said that this is indicative of the fact that AAP is a house of cards that is bound to doom in a day or two.

Channi said that an elite and unholy nexus of politicians across party lines had excluded power from the common man just to loot Punjab. He said that the members of this elite group have a common bond in form of their own vested interests and loot of the state adding that they have been ill fully doing this so by enjoying the fruits of power in a game of musical chairs where the ruler changes after every five years but power remains in their hands. However, Channi said that now this nexus has been broken and the power is with the common man.
