To accomodate party leaders ahead of the Assembly polls, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday approved the appointment of chairmen, vice-chairmen, directors, or members of the various boards and commissions of the State Government.
Tarsem Singh Saini and Satnam Singh Dhanoa have been appointed as chairman and senior vice chairman of the Saini Welfare Board respectively. Besides Manjit Singh, Gurdarshan Singh Saini and Kanwaljit Singh have been appointed as its members.
likewise, the Chief Minister also gave nod to appoint Gurdev Singh and Tilak Raj as chairman and senior vice chairman of the Rai Sikh Welfare Board along with Roshan Singh, Master Preet Singh, Dalip Singh, Mahla Singh, Jagir Singh and Such Singh, as its members.
In another decision, Badal also cleared the appointment of Gurdeep Singh and Kewal Singh as chairman and senior vice chairman of the Kamboj Welfare Board respectively. Apart from these, Hakam Chand and Jagdev Singh have also been appointed as its members.
The Chief Minister also gave approval to the appointment of Sukhbir Singh as senior vice-chairman of Rajput Welfare Board. Similarly, Raman Kumar, Principal Rashpal Singh, Jarnail Singh, Mangat Ram, Som Nath, Hardev Pal and Inder Singh Romana have also been appointed as members of the Rajput Welfare Board.
The appointment of Randhir Singh, Raja Singh, Narinder Singh Sohal, Jasvir Singh Jailwal, Bhupinder Singh and Gurtej Singh has also been approved as members of the Ramgarhia Welfare Board.
Meanwhile, Badal also gave green signal to appoint Hafiz Tehseen Ahmed, member of the Punjab State Minorities Commission as its vice chairman. likewise, Hazur Hussain, Tufael Muhammad and Albert Dua have also been appointed as the members of the Punjab State Minorities Commission.
Similarly, Vijay Kumar Popli has been appointed as director on the Board of Directors (BoD) of Punjab Khadi and Village Industry Board.
