Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla on Thursday asked the party leaders and cadre to carry out a statewide ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ from September 25 to 30 which will be dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay to commemorate their 350th, 125th and 100th birth anniversaries respectively.
Addressing the party office-bearers and workers here at the party headquarters, Sampla said, “Campaigns like the Tiranga Yatra and Gram Uday-Bharat Uday in the past were successful owing to the dedication of party leaders and cadres. These drives were very much appreciated by the central leadership, which again wants the party workers to gear up for mission 2017”.
Sampla said that under Ujjawala scheme of the NDA Government, almost nine lakh poor women in Punjab were being provided free gas connections.
