Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday notified the constitution of 13 different committees for the legislative work for the year 2016-17.
An official Spokesman of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha said Aruna Chaudhary has been named as Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee, Harpreet Singh as Chairman of Committee on Public Undertakings, Pargat Singh as Chairman of Committee on Estimates, SR Kaler as Chairman Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes and Dinesh Singh Deputy Speaker, as Chairman House Committee.
Sarwan Singh Phillaur has been named as Chairman of Committee on local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, as Chairman of Government Assurance Committee, Justice Nirmal Singh as Chairman of Committee on Subordinate legislation, Manoranjan Kalia as Chairman of committee on Petitions, Balbir Singh Sidhu, as Chairman Committee on Paper laid/to be laid on the table of the House, Darshan Singh Kotfatta, as Chairman library Committee, Manpreet Singh Ayali as Chairman of Committee on Questions and References and Bibi Jagir Kaur as Chairperson of the Committee of Privileges.
