AC Joshi library, Panjab University conducted a Publishing Connect workshop in collaboration with Elsevier Journal Publisher on the theme of how to get published in Research Journals on Monday. More than 150 faculty members and research scholars of various disciplines of the university attended the workshop. Executive publisher (Engineering Journals), Oxford (UK), laney Zhou conducted the workshop. The event was presided over by PU Dean Research, Prof lalit Bansal, PU librarian
Dr Raj Kumar, Customer Development Manager, Elsevier South Asia, Manik Sethi and number of senior officers. laney Zhou gave tips to the beginners on how to write the research papers in the scientific journals.
Golden Jubilee convention
Panjab University would host the prestigious Golden Jubilee Annual Convention of Chemists from December 4 to 7. Indian Chemical Society is the organiser of the convention, while Department of Science and Technology, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, UGC and Institution of Chemists (India), Kolkata are the co-sponsors. The Indian Chemical Society is a National Forum for the community of Chemists and members of allied disciplines in the country.
lecture on healthy skin
Getting an impetus to health promotion initiative of MCM DAV the college’s Medical Committee organised a lecture on healthy skin by Dr Monika Mittal, Dermatologist and cosmetologist. The lecture provided informative insights about skin care. Dr Monika informed that skin treatment deos not mean skin care only but also includes hair care as well as nail care. She advised the students to go in for treatments according to one’s age.
