Punjab State Power Corporation limited (PSPCl) on Wednesday said it has started the process of recruitment of 1,000 linemen in the organisation.
K.D.Chaudhri, Chairman cum Managing Director, informed that following Punjab & Haryana High Court orders, PSPCl has advertised notice regarding recruitment of 1000 linemen.Giving details, he said that the HC earlier allowed recruitment of only 1000 linemen and these were recruited on contract by PSPCl. During hearing of the case, the Court allowed recruitment of another 500 linemen in 2012, 500 in 2013, 350 in 2014 and 350 in 2015.
The recent advertisement has been given for recruitment of linemen against allowed recruitments for the year 2012 & 2013. He said that recruitment of balance 700 linemen would be done in due time.Chaudhri said unemployed linemen union should accept the fact that training only enhances skills of a person and cannot become guarantee for job. He appealed to them to shun the path of unnecessary protests.
