Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation limited, KD Chaudhri, on Saturday held meeting with all Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers of Operation and P&M organisations of PSPCl to review power supply position to various categories of consumers.
The CMD emphasised in the meeting that quality service to electricity consumers is of prime importance and any lapse in service to consumers will not be tolerated. He instructed engineers to make it a point to attend to consumer’s complaints such as interruption in power supply, replacement of damaged transformers etc on priority.
Chaudhri guided the officers that sympathetic listening to consumer’s complaint and solving their problems in least possible time should be the only approach to dispose off the complaints. He cautioned the officers against any complacency and warned that officers and employees not coming to the expectations of the consumers and the company will face disciplinary action.
He further informed that the officers whose performance has been found to be below normal have been transferred.
The CMD said all officers/officials should keep their mobile phones in working order round-the-clock and all Chief Engineers/Distribution should ensure the 24 hours working of control rooms established at head office, zonal offices and circle level to listen and attend to the complaints of consumers and maintain uninterrupted power supply. They should also randomly check the working of control rooms.
