Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC), which has witnessed an increase of approximately Rs10 lakh in its income during recent past, has started the process of disbursing retirement benefits to its pensioners which approximately amount to Rs26 crore.
The cheques related to GPF, gratuity and CP Fund etc of the retired employees have been delivered at the PRTC head office, and all the payments shall be made by March 31, said the State Transport Minister Ajit Singh Kohar on Tuesday.
He said that PRTC will induct 250 new buses, 1200 electronic ticketing machines by March 2016.
