Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Saturday said providing quality education to the students at their door steps was the priority of the Government and primary schools would be opened even for fewer students in far flung areas.
He was addressing a public meeting at Karyali in Shimla district. Earlier, Chief Minister also dedicated a building of Government Senior Secondary, Karyali constructed at a cost of Rs 87.54 lakh. The CM said Special Category Status to the State was given during the Congress regime by the Central Government and added that State had received liberal financial assistance after getting Special Category Status which resulted in speedy development of the State adding that now Himachal was considered as model of development in the country.
