Congress Deputy leader in the lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh on Saturday said that the prolonged agitation by eight farmers’ and labour organisations, with no resolution in sight, only reflects the complete political and administrative failure of the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who lacks political will and acumen to solve any problem.
“The farmers’ stir has completely exposed the Government that when it comes to resolving a crisis or solving any problem, it is totally incompetent and incapable of doing so”, Capt Amarinder said in a statement, expressing grave concern over the continuation of the strike by farmers.
“That the Government was struck with paralysis and administrative inertia was already too well known, the ongoing strike has only re-established and reaffirmed the public belief that this government’s being there or not hardly makes any difference to anyone”, he observed.
He added that on the one hand the farmers see no hope from this Government and they are forced to prolong their agitation and on the other hand common man continues to suffer.
