The UT police have booked the director of a private firm for allegedly cheating his partner. He duped his partner of Rs three crore by selling commercial plots, using forged signature.
Hardeep Singh, director of a property consulting firm at Delhi, has lodged a complaint with the police in Chandigarh against his cousin brother. In his complaint he told the official that he recruited his cousin, Harpreet Singh, a resident of Sector-22, as the director of the same firm only to be duped by him later. The incident came to light in 2012, when Harpreet sold a commercial plot to Colonel (Retd) Bali and assured him to provide possession soon, however when Bali was not given the possession of the sold plot even after long time, he contacted with Hardeep and following the complaint of Bali, he fired the accused from his job.
Meanwhile a complaint against Harpreet Singh was given to police on Thursday and a case against Harpreet has been registered.
