Ahead of the Assembly elections in the state, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss various schemes being implemented in Haryana and had a detailed discussion about the 'Agniveers' and the welfare schemes run by both the state and central governments.
After meeting the Prime Minister, Saini interacted with journalists at Haryana Bhawan and stated that significant benefits have been decided for Haryana's Agniveers by the state government. These include a 10 percent horizontal reservation in government job recruitment, age relaxation of 5 and 3 years as per rules, and interest-free loans of up to Rs. 5 lakh for employment. The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister is focused on the Agniveer scheme. If any industry in Haryana hires an Agniveer, the state will give that institution a rebate of Rs. 60,000. The Prime Minister carefully listened about the scheme run by the state government for the welfare of Agniveers.
Saini emphasized that poor people need not worry as the Prime Minister is meticulously gathering feedback on each scheme to ensure benefits reach the last person. He also said the Prime Minister has taken detailed information about the schemes being run in Haryana and also got feedback on the implementation of the central government's schemes as well. There was also a discussion on upcoming projects and the upcoming assembly elections, he added.
The CM stated that significant changes have occurred in the state over the past 10 years and work has been carried out at a rapid pace. "Efforts have been made to strengthen roads in every district, and four-lane roads, greenfield roads, and expressways have been constructed. Haryana has become a symbol of development in every sector," said the Chief Minister.
In response to a question, Saini said that during the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition wanted to stop Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, but they failed. The opposition parties have different ideologies and no concrete issues to discuss as they rely only on lies, and the public has understood their deceit, he said.
Regarding the demand to make Dabwali a district, the Chief Minister said that the state government has formed a committee for this purpose and any demand that comes in is sent to the committee. The committee will make a decision based on parameters, whether it is a demand to create a district or to make an area a block. The demand for Dabwali will also be sent to the committee, said Saini.
