A 34-year-old farmer, hailing from Moga district in Punjab, won the Punjab State Baisakhi Bumper lottery of worth Rs two crores.
The farmer Parwinder Singh, hailing from Nathuwala Jadid village, had only one acre of land. “I and my father have been trying our luck since a long time but were never fortunate enough to win anything,” he said. But this time, while on his way to home, he bought a Punjab state lottery ticket which opened the doors of fortune for him which he had never even thought in his wildest dreams that he would become a crorepati overnight.
“We had bought tickets so many times. Now, we were almost worn out. We were going back to the village from Moga when I saw a lottery ticket stall. I had reluctantly stopped to buy a ticket,” he said.
A father of two toddlers, Parwinder said that Punjab Government's lottery has made his life easy and now he has no worries about his children's education.
