SAD leaders including Daljit Singh Cheema, Sikander Singh Maluka and Charanjit Singh Brar, along with the legal cell member Arshdeep Cler submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Punjab CEO S Karuna Raju to be forwarded to the CEC for action. Giving details, Cheema said that the recent multi-crore recovery by Khanna police had been exposed by Father Anthony Madasserry who had made it clear that Rs 16.32 crore had been seized by the Khanna police but the authorities had only shown a recovery of Rs 9.66 crore.
