Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Monday announced separation of FIR registration wing and investigation wing of the State police.

“The government is working to separate the FIR registration wing and investigation wing of Haryana Police. The Chief Minister had laid the foundation stone of the scheme at Panchkula recently and about Rs 153 crore would be spent under it.

The scheme is likely to be implemented from November 1, 2018. Under this scheme, when a victim would contact control room, he or she would get police assistance within 15 minutes in any area of the state, said he.

He further said that in the first phase, eight 'Mitra Kaksh' each were being established in district Karnal and district Rohtak. If the system runs successfully, it would be implemented throughout the state, he added.

Referring to his visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister said that there was no police station on road in Singapore and no police personnel could be seen on roads. There was one police officer on a population of 300 persons in Singapore whereas in Haryana, one police officer is deputed for safety and security of 500 persons, he said.
