Police arrest another accused

ludhiana police on Tuesday evening arrested another accused in the ludhiana gangrape case. The accused, Sunny, is one of the three involved in the crime in which a 21-year hotel employee was gangraped two days ago. The police on Monday had arrested 21-year-old Badal in the matter.

Sunny is Ambala resident, while the third accused , 20-year-old Monu, is a resident of Safidon town in Jind district of Haryana.

The police on Monday had said that the three were habitual offenders. Following the incident, the police had beefed up security in the city and put up nakas at various points. In her statement to the police, the victim had said that the two of the accused called each other by the names Monu and Vicky, while the third who was driving the car advised them against it.

The three had kidnapped the woman from the Rajguru Nagar area on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday and committed the crime. 

They later dumped her at Rajguru Nagar before fleeing the place.
