The residents of Tricity would soon be able to enjoy the facility of piped natural gas (PNG) used for cooking purposes and compressed natural gas (CNG) used as fuel in vehicles.
The Government of Indian has approved a project in this regard for the tricity including Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
An official of the UT Administration said “The Centre has approved the project to provide piped natural gas to the residents of Chandigarh and satellite townships of Mohali and Panchkula. The work in this regard would start this year.”
