A day after meeting top leaders of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and senior party leaders at Delhi, BJP president Rajnath Singh on Friday said that the party has made its Prime Minister’s choice clear and now it was the turn of Congress to decide.
“We have made our PM choice clear and now it’s turn of Congress to make its choice of Prime Minister clear,” said Singh without naming anyone but made an obvious reference to party’s campaign committee chief and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. He said that Congress was still perplexed in announcing its leader for the 2014-general election.
Singh added that Congress leaders claims that Indian Mujahideen was born after 2002 Gujarat riots but I say whenever anyone asks me that Congress has bio-data of such terrorist groups but BJP does not. Singh was talking to media after addressing party workers of Himachal Pradesh BJP at Palampur of Kangra district on Friday.
In the meting, he asked the party workers to work hard to ensure party’s win in the 2014- general election. He said that except for spiritual politics nothing could bring the desired results in the country. “We have to take the ideals and commitment of party towards nation building to the masses and expose the Congress led UPA government of the centre on every front that is from national security to economy to social security,” Singh said to the party workers. He urged the party workers to not to squabble over ticket distributions and said that whoever will be given tickets for the four lok Sabha seats of the state, each and every party workers should work with full devotion to ensure the win of party and formation of NDA government at Centre.
“In BJP even if I am wrong, party leaders and workers can ask me a question,” said Singh adding “Spirituality can help people leave ego and power at the doors and truly serve the goods to others by applying spiritual principal like compassion and instant feedback.” Singh lashed out at Congress party in centre and said that spiritualism does not mean religion based politics but spirituality means to one’s inner, moral-centered life in relation to transcendent.
“It is concerned with qualities of the human spirit such as love and courage,” said Singh. Former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and BJP veteran Shanta Kumar were present on the occasion. The three day workshop for party workers will have 10 sessions based on different agendas and a meeting of BJP core group will be held to make strategies for the 2014 general election.
