The who’s who of the Central Government, right from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Union Home Minister, the Union External Affairs Minister, among other senior BJP leaders, are all set to visit the poll-bound Punjab in the coming months.
The first one to visit Punjab on October 18 would be Modi regarding a “Small Scale Industries Sammelan” at ludhiana, announced Punjab BJP president and Union Minister Vijay Sampla on Sunday, after the State executive meeting.
The party, to tap the various sections of the society, would hold rallies, from November 13 to December 13, explicitly for youth, women, scheduled castes, and the farmers.
“The rallies would be attended by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union External Affairs’ Minister Sushma Sawaraj, and other senior BJP leaders,” said Sampla, adding that we are also trying to ask party’s national president Amit Shah to attend these rallies.
As per the proposed schedule, the farmers’ rally will be held at Fazilka, while SC rally would be organised at Jalandhar, Women’s rally at Patiala and Youth rally at Amritsar, he said.
Switching into poll mode, the party has also asked the party cadre to gear up and make the people at grass root level aware about the developmental works of the SAD-BJP government in Punjab and also regarding steps initiated by the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
“We are making all-out efforts to spread the message, given by the national executive in its recent meeting, right to the booth level,” said Sampla while announcing that the next state executive meeting would be held in January after national executive meeting on January 7-8 next year in New Delhi.
The saffron brigade took these decisions during its state executive meeting — the first amidst the situation arisen in the aftermath of the Army’s surgical strikes against terrorists across the line of control in Pakistan.
Hailing the Prime Minister Modi and the Indian Army or its attacks, the State executive passed a resolution in this regard.
BJP top leadership to unleash electoral spree soon nations like the US and Israel, which has made the citizens proud…The Indian Government has been successful in isolating Pakistan on the international front and PM Narendra Modi deserves the credit for it,” read the resolution.
It added that the Prime Minister had been garnering international support during the past two-and-a-half years and it was due to his efforts that superpowers like the US, UK, France and Germany stood with India and against Pakistan on terrorism.
BJP’s resolution also praised Sushma Swaraj’s statement in the UNGA, along with the boycotting of SAARC summit, reviewing the Indus treaty and MFN status granted to Pakistan.
A resolution, urging the party leaders and workers to follow the footsteps of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya, was also passed during the meet.
