A senior official of the UT Administration said, “The CHB had invited Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to hand over the keys of flats to beneficiaries and he has given his consent. This is the biggest project under the slum rehabilitation in the country.”
“The CHB have already submitted that all the works which have been entrusted to them have been completed and verification of about 8,100 beneficiaries has also been done,” he added. A huge task of allotting about 8,100 small flats linked with Aadhar numbers is being undertaken by the UT Administration and a township of about 40,000 persons is going to come up at Dhanas.
