Haryana Chief Secretary Keshni Anand Arora has appealed to the people of the state to help in making Haryana a Plastic-free state, use jute bags instead of plastic bags.
She has requested various institutions and NGOs to make jute bags under Community Social Responsibility (CSR) and distribute it to the general public.
Presiding over a meeting on reduction of plastic pollution in Haryana, Arora directed the officers to observe Plastic Free Day on the fifth day of every month, in all the districts and generate awareness among people for not using plastic.
