Punjab Forest and Wildlife Preservation Department has mooted a plan to prepare a wildlife atlas which will contain detailed information about wild animals and their habitat. This atlas will focus on those animals which are on the verge of extinction and those whose strength has been reduced due to poaching activities and environmental changes, said an official spokesperson of the department. With the atlas, tourists would get information about wildlife in the State, he said.
