Haryana Congress MlA, Karan Singh Dalal on Wednesday submitted a complaint to Chandigarh Police against BJP’s legislature party chief whip and Panchkula MlA Gian Chand Gupta for allegedly misusing his position.
Karan Dalal while talking to the mediapersons on Wednesday alleged, “Gian Chand Gupta is impersonating himself as a Minister which is unconstitutional and a case should be registered against him.”
“I had gone to attend a meeting of a committee in Haryana Vidhan Sabha and I was taken aback when I saw a name plate of MlA Gian Chand Gupta who has displayed a name plate in the office of Vidhan Sabha describing himself as Minister of State, whereas he is not a Minister,” said he.
In a complaint submitted to the SHO, Sector 3 here, Karan Dalal said, “MlA Gian Chand Gupta is impersonating himself a Minister which is criminal act. Thus, under the garb of claiming a Minister, he may misuse his position and can pressure the authorities to do works for his personal gains.”
I request an immediate action to be taken as per law into this, Dalal added.
Notably, the State Government had in June this year decided to accord the minister of state (MoS) rank to Gian Chand Gupta.
