Haryana Government has decided that petrol pumps would function strictly in accordance with the site plan approved by the oil companies, which is designed or planned on the basis of explosive clearances and fire clearance.
A spokesman of Town and Country Planning Department on Tuesday said that as the matter squarely relates to competency of oil companies, the construction of petrol pump should be strictly done in accordance with the requirement of Oil Companies.
He said that with a view to avoid duplicity of approvals of building plans, the Department would not approve the zoning plan as well as building plans in case of petrol pump sites.
He said that henceforth, the oil companies would approve the building plans in accordance with the site plan issued with letter of Intent of Change of land Use (ClU) permission.
After obtaining the ClU permission, the applicant will submit the certified copy of site plan or building plan approved by the Oil Company in the office of the District Town Planner (DTP) or State Town Planner (STP) concerned as well as the Directorate. Also, the DTP concerned and STP Circle will examine the case of grant of occupation certificate on the basis of said building plan approved by the Oil Companies, added the spokesman.
