Claiming one-sided victory for the SAD-BJP coalition in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday said people will teach befitting lesson to both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
“The people have already seen anti-Punjab approach of the Congress party and now the AAP’s stand against Punjab over the river waters issue has unmasked their real face,” said Badal while speaking to media persons on the second day of his Sangat Darshan programme in Khanna constituency.
Badal, replying to a question related to distribution of tickets to youth for upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections,
said that their party has promoted many youngsters and the candidates would be chosen amongst those who could score a victory.
On Congress party’s claim that they would waive off debt of farmers after coming to power, Badal said that the Congress party did not do anything for the welfare of farmers during their more than 50 years of rule and so the Congress leaders should not make such false claims.
Terming Congress claims as pure lies, Badal said that Capt Amarinder had stopped free electricity to farmers that was given at the time of SAD-BJP Government, immediately after coming back to power.
