Punjab Government on Monday decided to put in public domain the property returns of all Punjab civil and police officers. The State Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal has issued direction to upload all information regarding property returns on the official websites of their respective departments.
The decision was taken by Deputy Chief Minister while presiding over a meeting with the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Home) and Director General of Police (Vigilance).
He asked the three senior officers to initiate process in this regard so that the property details of all categories of officers in civil and police cadre in the state could be uploaded on websites at the earliest.
“Property details of all officers should be in public domain on websites,” he said. Sukhbir directed the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary (Home) to ensure that complete property details of all officers should be uploaded in full transparent manner. He asked them to issue necessary directions to the officers appointed at headquarters and in field.
