Punjab Agriculture University, ludhiana, has planned to organise Kisan Melas this month.
A spokesman of Punjab Agriculture Department said that these Kisan Melas would be organised at the main campus of the university as well as its various regional stations/krishi Vigayan Kendras. He said that in these melas scientists of the University would put up exhibitions and demonstrate various technologies for crop production and post harvest management.
Giving the schedule of the melas, he said that these melas would be organised at Ballowal Saunkhri on September 4, Gurdaspur on September 6, Faridkot on September 10, ludhiana on September 13 &14, Patiala on 18th and Bathinda on September 20. The spokesman appealed the farmers to participate in these kisan melas and share their views with the scientists so that appropriate agricultural strategies could be involved for better crop yield.
