Government agencies and private millers procured more than 6239159 tonnes of paddy till Thursday. Out of total procurement, the agencies procured 5789933 tonnes of paddy (92.8%) till date whereas private traders procured 449226 tonnes (7.2%) of paddy. Till Oct 24, PUNGRAIN had procured 1702438 tonnes (29.4%), MARKFED 1374693 tonnes (23.7%), PUNSUP 1307033 tonnes (22.6%), PSWC 550891 tonnes (9.5%), PAFC procured 583855 tonnes (10.1%) of paddy. Patiala with 664571 tonnes of procurement was leading in procurement operations.
