Party high command to decide on AAP, Cong alliance: Hooda

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the Congress is a national party and it is upto party high command to decide on Congress’ alliance with the AAP in Haryana. However, there is no need to form an alliance with AAP in Haryana as Congress is in a strong position, Hooda said while talking to the mediapersons in New Delhi.

Congress can win all 10 parliamentary seats in Haryana on its own, he said.

Last week, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal had appealed to Congress president Rahul Gandhi to form an alliance with AAP and Jannayak Janta Party for defeating the BJP in Haryana.

While the state Congress leaders have refused to form any alliance, the JJP had declared that it will not be a party of any alliance involving the Congress.

Talking to the mediapersons, Congress general secretary in-charge of party affairs in Haryana, Ghulab Nabi Azad said that so far, no discussion is being held on forming an alliance with AAP in Haryana.

When asked about Kuldeep Bishnoi’s absence from coordination committee meet Azad said there is never 100 per cent attendance in such meetings. No reason of Bishnoi’s absence from coordination committee meeting was given.
