Around 500 volunteers - doctors, nurses, technicians, students, security personnel and officials from Punjab Police and CISF donated their blood at a donation camp organised by security wing of PGI here on Friday.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar, inaugurated the 12th blood donation camp here in Zakir Hall of PGI.
To boost the morale of donors, P.C. Sharma, Chief Security Officer and officer of Security Wing were among the first few donors who came forward to donate blood on this occasion.
The donors were offered refreshment of tea, coffee, cold drinks, milk, juice and seasonal fruits. Khattar and Yogesh Chawla, Director PGI, presented the mementos to the donors. The Chief Minister also met the donors and appreciated the efforts of Security Department for this noble cause.
