Over 3,000 progressive farmers across the nation would call on Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Modi at Vibrant Gujarat Global Agriculture Fair to be held in Gandhinagar (Gujarat) from September 9 to 11 next in order to facilitate the realisation of latent potential of agriculture in India.
Om Prakash Dhankhar, national president of Bhartiya Janta Party Kishan Morch, informed this while addressing a press conference in Jhajjar on Friday. The global fair would be organised on the lines of Israel farming trade fairs and five farmers from each district of every state in the nation would attend the fair to know the latest technology being used in the farming, he added.
“The farmers have been invited through their state governments for the grand occasion. The BJP Kishan Morcha will ensure participation of farmers of those states on its own, where the state government will not show its interest to pursue it,” said Dhankhar, adding that as many as 105 farmers across Haryana would attend the fair. As many as 21 among these would be felicitated by Gujarat Government during the fair for their remarkable performance in the agriculture field.
“At the fair, Chief Minister Narender Modi will interact with the progressive farmers on September 9 on the issue of ‘Agriculture Development and Welfare of Farmers in India,” said Dhankhar, adding that the fair would turn out to be instrumental in motivating the farmers to adopt the latest technology for yielding desired results.
The national president said the participants would also visit Amul Diary.
