'Opposition using boycott as tool'

Published on:

Strongly condemning the Opposition’s boycott of the Budget debate and disruption during Governor’s address, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday said the BJP is trying to use boycotts and walkouts as tool to pressurise the State Government to scuttle inquiries against their leaders.

“It is for the first time in the history of the State that Opposition has staged walkout from the House on the Governor’s address and boycotted Budget. They are actually staging boycott for disruptions just to pressurise the Government to scuttle inquiries,” said the Chief Minister in the House.

“I want to make it clear, the State Government is not going to come under pressure of any kind. Those who have done wrong will be punished and those innocent need not fear," said Singh.
